HDB was granted permission in August by the Building and Construction Authority to begin structural works on 1,462 flats located at the Bukit Merah site along Alexandra Road.
The Alexandra Peaks development, launched on December 20,23 and will comprise 964 apartments. The remaining 498 units will be constructed in an unnamed project adjacent to Alexandra Peaks.
The brand new Clementi apartments are being built on land that was removed in the Selective En bloc Development Scheme (Sers) which was announced in 2005 to rejuvenate the Clementi Town Centre. Sers is a program that permits the government to revive older estates by redeveloping flats located on land with high development potential.
HDB announcements on the site show that construction began on the 20th of september. The 753 units, which comprise three-, two- and four-room apartments were scheduled to be finished in the first quarter of 2029. The flats are expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2029.
On the site, there’s an information board that says that the project will comprise four housing blocks, three 40-storey structures and one 34-storey structure and eating houses, childcare miniarts, pavilions and a car park that has seven floors and a roof garden.
Clementi Flats could be called Plus Flats since it is not part of the central area. But, they are just 300m from Clementi MRT Station and the town’s center.
The 741 units in Toa Payoh will be completed by the end of the second quarter of 2029.

First Toa Payoh primary school had been located on the site that was then rezoned for residential usage in 2023.
The flats are likely to be classified as Plus because they are away from the city’s center but are only 300m from Caldecott MRT Station, a interchange for the Circle line and Thomson-East Coast line.
HDB is likely substantial subsidies included in the price of sale, considering similar four- and five-room resales that have similar characteristics in terms of location to this one were sold for at least $1,000,000.
The BTO project, which is expected to comprise 498 units and has not yet revealed in Bukit Merah, which is located at the intersection between Prince Charles Crescent Road and Alexandra Road, will be built near the junction of Prince Charles Crescent Road. The development will be constructed on the 1.4ha area where the Alexandra Post Office used to be located. The office is scheduled to shut in June 2023.
The flats that are being built will probably be classified as Plus because they are situated near the edges of the city. They are just 400m from Redhill MRT Station, which is only two stops from the Central Business District.
According to an HDB announcement posted on an apartment block in the area construction for the Alexandra Peaks project started in June. The project is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2029.
Future residents will be able to access facilities being constructed within Alexandra Peaks. These include an eating and pre-school and stores, a miniart, and the Residents’ Network Centre.
Prime Flats, which was the precursor to the present Prime flats was the model that was used to launch Alexandra Peaks.
The BTO exercise scheduled for February 2025 doesn’t include any of the flats that are planned for the future located in Clementi or Toa Payoh, Bukit Merah, or Bukit Merah. This means that they will launch by 2025 or later. The exercise in February will include around 5,000 homes in Kallang/Whampoa as well as Queenstown.
The board collaborated with other agencies of the government in order to identify project sites prior to the start of the project.
The construction process begins several months or even one year prior to the time when the project’s launch. This is the reason why apartments with a shorter wait time can be provided.
The Pine Ville @ AMK Project which was announced on April 20will increase the number of apartments available in Ang Mo Kio. This project will replace 606 residents who were affected by the Sers project located on Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 that was first announced in 2022.
